I am a straight to the point guy:
1) COMPLETE UPDATES.
2) UNINSTALL UNIMPORTANT APPS.
3) UNINSTALL/CLOSE UNIMPORTANT FEATURES.
4) CLOSE SYNC. (For Windows 10, it is at the Account settings.)
5) DISABLE BACKGROUND PROCESSES. (For Windows 10, it is at the Privacy settings.)
6) TURN OFF ANIMATIONS. (For Windows 10, it is at the Ease of Access, Display settings.)
7) CLEAN UP FILES. (There is a storage settings at the System section in Windows 10 settings.)
8) DON'T USE USER'S FILES, MOVE ALL TO A PERSONAL FILE. (Create your own personal file in the disk.)
9) IF CAN, MOVE MOST FILES TO A PERSONAL HARD DISK.
10) FREE AS MUCH SPACE AS YOU CAN.
11) DISABLE UNIMPORTANT DEVICES. (This should be in the Control Panel, Hardware and Sound, Devices and Printers, Device Manager.)
12) IF YOU USE USB TETHERING, (WHICH IS THE BEST), THEN DISABLE WIRELESS ADAPTERS, FOR WIFI AND BLUETOOTH.
Hope these helped, of course, these helped me.
